Durell’s proposal to Karla at Stanford was thoughtfully planned, beautifully prepared, and perfectly executed. The two had met each other many years ago as Stanford students, and so it was fitting for the proposal to be at the Stanford main quad near the Stanford Memorial Church. Durell dropped by the day before to check out the area, and he even sent us a selfie of him in the spot where he was planning to propose so that we’d know exactly where to lie in wait. These two college sweethearts, now living in Hong Kong, took a trip back to California a couple of weeks ago. For their engagement photos, we walked around Foothills College where they first met and got some really cute shots in a classroom and around campus. Rudy and Sophie’s story goes back several years to before Rudy was a student at Stanford. When Annie and I met Rudy a couple days before he proposed, he described Sophie as the special one who helped drive his current ambitions and gave him the motivation to pursue graduate studies at Stanford, so it was only appropriate that he proposed to her on campus. On the morning of the big day, he came by to drop off some roses and champagne with us, and we brought those to Stanford Memorial Church along with speakers to play his special request — Endless Love by Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross. We recently had the pleasure to work with Jizhe and Jin for their pre-wedding photos. We started off at Stanford University, where Jin goes to school, and a few of their friends even came to keep them company and cheer them on. Then we headed to San Francisco to shoot at both ends of the Golden Gate Bridge, at Crissy Field, Cavallo Point, and the Marin Headlands. Although these spots were packed with crowds of people that weekend, there was nothing some strategic shooting and editing couldn’t fix 🙂 We got a ton of great photos!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Our friend Perry moved to the Bay Area from Seattle three months ago, and this was our first time meeting Silver the husky! We’ve seen so many adorable photos of her on Perry’s Facebook page so when Perry told us he wanted a photo session for Silver, David and I were thrilled!

We spent an hour at the Stanford Oval, and despite the many distractions from people throwing frisbees and kicking soccer balls, we managed to get many cute and silly shots of Silver.

Silver is a big cuddler and she gave me lots of kisses!! I’ve included a photo of me and her at the end. These are some of our favs, please enjoy!
