Dom & Mae said their vows and tied the knot earlier this month with a tiny elopement. And in the midst of this global pandemic, the logistics were actually quite difficult! There was almost no place in the Bay Area to have a ceremony, so they went down to Santa Cruz. Although coronavirus-related restrictions kept me from documenting the ceremony itself, I’m so glad I got the opportunity to meet up with them afterwards for some outdoor elopement portraits in San Francisco and create these memories of their wedding day. What an absolute stunner of a mother-to-be! We went out for Gloria’s San Francisco sunset maternity shoot at 36 weeks, and this mommy couldn’t have been more full of life — she was as active as ever and didn’t mind moving around for the best photos at all! This shoot was actually a little bit amusing as I’m almost due myself, and people were looking at us as they watched this very pregnant momma being followed around by a very pregnant photographer 😀 I love how these came out and am so excited to share!

Sutro Baths is one of those places that’s quite a wonderful sight at almost any time of day, and a photographer’s eye can really bring out its full beauty. Omar wanted the perfect setting for his surprise proposal to Safia, and there’s really no place more picturesque than a sunset Sutro Baths proposal. Jay & Jenny originally wanted to start off their shoot at City Hall — but when we got there, we found that the building had just been evacuated and was closed for the day! So we quickly took a few photos outside, and then headed over to the other side of the city. It ended up working out really well, and they totally rocked these Legion of Honor pre-wedding photos!
