Almost two years ago, we geared up and hid in the (mostly figurative) bushes at Stow Lake to capture Brian asking Jenny for her hand in marriage (see proposal photos here!). One sweet, super in-love couple, their adorable fuzzy dog, and a whole crew of wonderful family and friends, all in the most stunning venue under the golden fall sun, made this day a most extraordinary one and an absolute blast for us to photograph. We’ve waited almost a year and a half for Lauren & Jeff’s B.R. Cohn wedding, and if we were in love with their engagement photos last fall, then we’re absolutely over the moon with everything about their wedding day. This was one of those weddings where we not only really enjoyed ourselves from behind the lens during all the action, but we constantly find ourselves smiling again and again, every time we look at their photos or think back to their wedding day. I think Erik wins the award for the most meticulously-planned and perfectly-executed proposal we’ve ever seen. There were just so many moving pieces: the friends who brought Sherrie along for the airplane ride, the airport where they landed, Sherrie’s boss who was in on the plan all along, and even yours truly, the photographers. Erik quietly worked it all out, rehearsing the flight path a few times and juggling multiple unplanned schedule changes, and the result was the sweetest and most perfect proposal. We’ve adored Adam & Anna’s love story since the moment we met them. Anna’s family has been beekeepers for several generations, and Adam proposed with jars of A&A’s very first batch of honey. We photographed their engagement session at Anna’s parents’ home, right where their bees are kept. And so it should come as no surprise that cute little bee-related details made their way into A-squared’s wedding day too.
