When it comes to breathtaking proposal spots, Slackers Hill offers a view that’s second to none, and Kevin couldn’t have picked a more magical location to pop the question to his girlfriend Vanessa. It’s a bit of a trek up to the top of Slackers Hill, but this didn’t bother Ben and Cessna the slightest bit. In fact, before dinner last weekend, the two of them hiked the long way up — several times longer than the usual route! It’s not often that we get up early for photo shoots — in fact, we’ve been up Slackers Hill more than 30 times, and this is our very first time at sunrise — but the morning sun can be the best light of the day. Last weekend, Alex brought Lauren up to a fantastic vista point with a sweeping Golden Gate Bridge view, for a small, romantic picnic… or was it? In reality, he was planning to pop the question and wanted a beautiful SF backdrop for that special moment. As the two walked up the hill and towards the bridge, I quietly got into position to capture it all. Lauren was very, very excited — if she hadn’t been eagerly waiting for this moment for a while, it certainly looked that way to me! — and even wiped away a joyful tear as Alex asked for her hand in marriage. The most appreciated surprises are often the least expected. Pranav and Nikhita went for a morning hike up to Slackers Hill, one of my favorite places in the Bay Area, with its stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco — but of course, she didn’t suspect the true purpose. I love that they’re both dressed in casual hiking gear, complete with a backpack, hat, and sunglasses, just having a fun hike on a beautiful morning, just like they had done many times in the past. But then, after briefly taking in the panoramic view, Pranav knelt down with the ring he had hidden, and he said the words that would take their relationship to the next stage. Her reaction says it all 🙂
