I just loooooved everything about Saachi & Sean’s Marshall’s Beach engagement photos — the oh-so-in-love couple, the beautiful golden sunset, the rocky beach during high tide — it all made me so happy then and is making me so happy all over again as I’m editing this shoot. This is an engagement shoot that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon — and neither will Jenny & Kelly, I’m sure. It was a coooold day with 20+mph ocean winds, and even with the jacket that Jenny put on to warm up between shots, it’s a wonder nobody turned into a popsicle! It’s actually hard to describe just how crazy the wind was; when Jenny and Kelly arrived and parked at the top of Sutro Baths, they found us crouched at the base of a bush in the corner of the parking lot, trying to hide from the wind for just a few seconds longer…

Henrique is a former coworker of mine from a past life. He was that cheerful and helpful teammate you could always count on if you needed a favor, and as it happens, one day, someone who didn’t know his name came by looking for the “friendly bearded guy” … and from that day on, the name stuck with him for its accuracy and conciseness. Fast-forward a few years, and our friendly bearded guy found his other half in Hannah (who is similarly friendly but lacks the beard), got engaged in New York, and moved back to San Francisco together to embark on the next chapter of their lives. They were joined by family flying in from Korea and Brazil for their SF City Hall civil ceremony which, while short and sweet, was also a very emotional moment [ read more … ]

Three thousand, four hundred, ninety-four days — almost ten years after they first met, Vincent and Helen walked up the hill of Bernal Heights Park to a spot with a beautiful San Francisco skyline view. Vincent recounted their journey together, much of which was spent together right here in San Francisco, with a very sweet speech, ending with a proposal for Helen to be his home. [ read more … ]
