Mike & Katie traveled from out of state to visit San Francisco this month, and Mike had the perfect proposal lined up. On a weekday morning about a week ago, the two walked along the Embarcadero onto Pier 7. About halfway down the pier, Mike popped the big question, and we were so lucky to have been witnesses to this amazing proposal. I could feel Katie just bursting with joy as she literally jumped up and down shouting “YES!!!” and hugged her fiance. Brandon and Kara chose the most amazing day to visit San Francisco. After hitting all the usual spots during the day, they wrapped up in the evening with a short hike up to Battery Spencer, at the edge of the Marin Headlands with its beautiful view overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the City of San Francisco. I absolutely adore Josh & Dylan’s cute love story! They actually met in FIRST GRADE (!!) and finally decided to go on their first date while in college, then visited Battery Spencer afterwards to enjoy the grand view of the Golden Gate Bridge. About a week ago, they revisited the Bridge again — and this time, Josh brought with him a big surprise in a little box! I’m so excited to share these photos of this special moment, beautiful couple, and gorgeous backdrop. Congrats you two!

This sweet couple flew all the way from their home in Calgary to San Francisco — where they had their first date four years ago. We had gotten so used to seeing the summer fog, and the especially-thick cover earlier that week, that when we arrived at Baker Beach to capture I&J’s proposal, the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge actually felt strange. Sam’s proposal was a very special one. Sure, the Sausalito Bridgeway promenade is a very picturesque spot, great for a romantic walk along the Bay, but it was also much more than that: decades ago, Sam’s dad proposed at the same spot! I really love it when our couples incorporate such meaningful and personal things like that 🙂 And Christina’s reaction was so cute when she realized we were there snapping photos of the proposal, which you can see in the photos below. She was so excited that her hands were still shaking even while we were doing portraits afterwards! Congrats guys!
