We waited a loooong time to get the perfect sunset for Nicole & Amir’s Sutro Baths engagement photos, and here we have it! I get so excited when I’m photographing a couple who is super in love — you can see it in their eyes — and I think it shows in the photos too. Michael & Sam’s Marin Engagement Photos
Michael and Sam brought along their dog Goose for their engagement shoot. He’s super cute (I couldn’t stop kneading the rolls on his neck…) and was so happy to get out and go on a hike with his parents! You can also tell in a lot of these photos that he’s the one running the show, haha. We were able to fit a lot of variety into two hours: starting from Slackers Hill for a great view of San Francisco and the sunny sky, then heading over to the Marin Headlands and ending at Rodeo Beach for sunset. Nate & Katie’s Engagement Photos at Pigeon Point Lighthouse
Nate & Katie had quite the memorable engagement — they got engaged last fall, right on that day when the Bay Area skies turned apocalyptic orange due to the fires. Though that wasn’t Nate’s original plan, it certainly made for a very memorable day! M&T’s Baker Beach Engagement Photos
In between shots during M&T’s engagement session, their puppy Ruby ran around in circles, ate grass, tasted ocean foam, and… pooped in the woods. Some of my favorite photos feature M&T looking perfectly calm and romantic, juxtaposed with Ruby acting like a big goofball inches away in the same frame. And we loved every minute of it. Michael & Teresa’s Birthday Surprise Proposal in Half Moon Bay
For his birthday, Michael told his girlfriend Teresa that he had made plans for brunch (but not really) at the Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay. After a brief walk, the high school sweethearts reached a cliffside spot with a great view of the beach and ocean bluffs, but instead of Teresa giving Michael a gift for his birthday, he had one for her. He dropped to one knee and opened up a velvety purple box with a massive (I’m talking like grape-sized), sparkly, oval-cut diamond for Teresa, who, of course, responded with a yes! [ read more … ]
