D&A’s wedding was a uniquely special one for us. Our first encounter with this wonderful couple was at their intimate COVID-era wedding last year. Nergis had a very specific vision for her wedding and had dreamed of this day for a very long time, and importantly, she knew how to execute and make her vision come to life. Jian and Katrina’s intimate wedding at Boulder Ridge was beautiful and touching in a one-of-a-kind way, and we’re still swooning over memories of their day. Their wedding and personalities really connected with us — Jian the thoughtful, pragmatic husband with Katrina, the sweet, lighthearted wife — and the love and support shown by all their friends in attendance was thick in the atmosphere. Michael & Lauren’s story began back in 2018. They first met online, and after a very memorable first date that stretched for four hours (!), it became clear that something special was brewing. Since then, we’ve had the honor of documenting several of their big milestones: first, their proposal in the spring of 2022 up in the Marin Headlands, then their fall engagement photos at Mt Tam, and finally, their beautiful wedding at Viansa Sonoma this summer. Vina and Lisa share an amazing love story together: after meeting online over a decade ago, they gradually grew closer until they each knew they had found the one. In 2021, they each planned to surprise the other with a proposal — and though Vina was just a bit quicker on the draw, proposing to Lisa at Baker Beach at sunset almost exactly two years ago, Lisa would return the gesture with a beautiful proposal in the desert sands of New Mexico.
