Slackers Hill is the tallest hill in the Marin Headlands facing the Golden Gate Bridge from the north, and consequently has an absolutely spectacular view of the entire area, including nearly the entire city of San Francisco, along with the Bay Bridge, Oakland, and parts of Sausalito. Its peak (elevation ~930 feet) has a small, flat plateau featuring amazing sights in every direction.

This is a place I’ve personally always wanted to visit, so even though I was supposed to be taking a break from work this December, when Jordan contacted me to capture his surprise engagement proposal there I knew I had to make it work. [ read more … ]

I love couples who incorporate a lot of family and friends into their wedding. Ted & Danielle’s wedding was so much fun and so personal. Winston, their officiant, was a longtime family friend who had known Danielle her whole life. His words were sentimental yet funny, and everyone loved what he had to say. Brandon and Kara chose the most amazing day to visit San Francisco. After hitting all the usual spots during the day, they wrapped up in the evening with a short hike up to Battery Spencer, at the edge of the Marin Headlands with its beautiful view overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the City of San Francisco. Sam’s proposal was a very special one. Sure, the Sausalito Bridgeway promenade is a very picturesque spot, great for a romantic walk along the Bay, but it was also much more than that: decades ago, Sam’s dad proposed at the same spot! I really love it when our couples incorporate such meaningful and personal things like that 🙂 And Christina’s reaction was so cute when she realized we were there snapping photos of the proposal, which you can see in the photos below. She was so excited that her hands were still shaking even while we were doing portraits afterwards! Congrats guys!

Viral had a romantic evening planned for Shital while she was in town visiting him for the long weekend — a quick sightseeing trip up to Battery Spencer to take a few selfies overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, followed by a nice dinner in Sausalito.
