Sometimes, we’re dealt a combination that is just too good to be true: the sweetest couple, in the most scenic location, with unbelievable weather. Tim & Kim love to hike, and they know all the good spots in the Bay Area… which is great for us as we love to explore new places for photos! Marcus & Kasley have a “spot” in the trails of Marin, up near Mt. Tam. There’s a log just off the path where they’ve shared some special memories together, and what could be a better place to mark their next big step together? So on an perfectly clear and beautiful July day, the two of them headed up into the hills together. Though we live only 15 minutes from the base of Montara Mountain, last weekend was our very first time hiking all the way up. At 1800 feet, the peak of the mountain offers a stunning view of not only Montara and the beautiful mountains and rolling hills that surround the area, but you can also see San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, and the Pacific coastline.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Jeff & Leslie headed up Montara Mountain, taking a different route from the familiar trails they had gone up many times in the past. Being avid hikers, Jeremy and Nicole took advantage of their trip to the Bay Area to find some new spots to explore. The Linda Mar Beach/Pacifica State Beach is one of my favorite spots around here, so I’m really glad Jeremy liked my suggestion! It’s a pretty easy trail which goes up along a cliff facing the Pacific Ocean and offers beautiful views of the beach and ocean down below. Jeremy led his future wife to an overlook at the edge of the cliff before dropping down on one knee, giving them a beautiful backdrop for the proposal. [ read more … ]

Brad and Lita are having their beach wedding in Maui. How romantic and exciting! They wanted a different theme for their engagement shoot, so they did their homework and visited a few places before settling on the redwoods at Huddart Park in Woodside, CA. We got a little lost on our hike through the woods but it was fun!
