Maylene & Alejandro | Classic Fairmont Pittsburgh Hotel Wedding

Annie and I flew to the east coast last month for Maylene & Alejandro’s Fairmont Pittsburgh hotel wedding. That weekend marked many “firsts” for us (we had never been to Pennsylvania!), but the biggest one is that it was our first time photographing a close friend’s wedding. We normally get to know all of our couples pretty well by the time we show up on their wedding day, but it’s really a different experience to look through the lens and focus on every expression, every smile, and every tear for someone we’ve known for half our lives… and I’m so glad we did it!

Chung & Justin | CuriOdyssey Wedding at Coyote Point

Chung & Justin’s wedding absolutely amazed me. Everything was DIY — the escort cards, adorable ceremony decorations, paper cranes, aquatic centerpieces, and dozens of cute little green potted paper succulents for wedding favors. Even the wedding party’s bouquets and boutonnieres were picked from the couple’s garden and hand-crafted! Hayley & Joey | San Francisco Wedding at the Presidio Golden Gate Club

From start to finish, Hayley & Joey’s wedding was full of fun and laughter. Before their ceremony, we coordinated a first look at the nearby Presidio Chapel, in front of its grand doors. There were a lot of cute moments at the first look, including the amusing line “hold me like you love me, not like you’re strangling me!” which still comes to my mind whenever I see the first photo below, followed by some portraits of the bride & groom and the wedding party.
