Jed had a planned a weekend getaway on the Mendocino coast with Katie, and originally he was going to kick it off by proposing to her once they had arrived. As the plan solidified though, he eventually decided to do it at the beginning of their trip so that they could fully enjoy their wine tasting and glamping trip as an engaged couple.
