Josh and Katelyn’s wedding day was a beautiful culmination of their long journey together. They first met as high school freshmen in 2007, and 15 years (!!) after their first adventures together, Josh proposed in their San Francisco apartment in 2022. In his words, he “secretly looked at engagement rings, planned and plotted different options,” and decided to create a magical moment surrounded by hundreds of their photos hanging from their ceiling, capturing the essence of their relationship. J&R’s proposal was so well thought out, meticulously planned, and perfectly executed. It was also a special experience for us — it was the first time Annie and I have split up to be several miles apart for a proposal shoot, and it was the first time I’ve actually appeared in (read: photobombed) a set of proposal photos. A beautiful couple who is both deeply in love and also willing to try anything in front of our cameras + a little creativity from us = an oh so romantic session! David and I loved this shoot and every single one of their photos.

We walked around Crissy Field, drove around the City of San Francisco, hiked up some stairs to the Coit Tower, and ran across some busy streets — and it was all worth it in the end.
