In between all the weddings and proposals during this busy summer, it’s nice to have a change of pace shooting fun photos with an adorable baby! For baby Aasmi’s first birthday, her parents set up a picnic complete with cute pastel-colored props and a beautiful cake for her to dig into, and she had lots of fun with it 🙂 Happy birthday Aasmi!

Lillian’s cake smash was an absolutely adorable one!! We started the session with her wearing her little red tutu in her parent’s backyard. For this session, Julie and Eric provided all kinds of props and made sure that Lillian was well-fed and had a good nap, giving me lots of opportunities to snap many happy shots! We were all laughing pretty hard at Lillian’s reaction after her cake smash; the sugar high hit her literally within five minutes of digging into the cake, and she turned from a quiet baby into a dancing queen! I will always remember the sparkles in Lillian’s eyes when she took the first bite of that frosting, and the “hmmmm” sound she was making during the whole cake smashing. It was just ADORABLE!! Anicea and Harold took their twin babies Yann and Yanis to Cuesta Park to celebrate their two year anniversary and their babies’ second birthday!! Anicea spent time with me to discuss her preferences ahead of the photo shoot and I’m really glad that they brought some colorful props! Yann & Yanis are two energetic and adorable kids — they LOVE running around and laughing, and they love dancing and marching 🙂 [ read more … ]
