Austin and Brittany planned a destination wedding (in Mexico!!), and wanted to have their save-the-date/engagement photos taken near the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove along the windy road near Battery Spencer up to the top with the tunnels where Austin proposed, then headed back to Baker Beach to run around and bury our feet in the sand. JD and Becky flew in from Alabama, and he wanted to give her a sweet surprise in San Francisco: asking her to be his lifetime partner! JD’s parents live in Sacramento and drove to the city to witness this moment, hiding out and waiting in the back corner of a parking lot while the couple walked along Crissy Field. Ryan followed Catherine to California from Omaha over a year ago. He just moved back to Omaha the weekend after our photo shoot, and this time, Catherine will follow him there. They decided to have their save-the-date photos taken at Baker Beach to document their wonderful journey together here in the Bay Area. The day was a little overcast which made Catherine’s dress color pop in the photos (really pretty!) AND more importantly, we got the whole beach completely to ourselves and got some great shots! We had such a fun time shooting engagement photos for Jessica & Mike at Baker Beach. These two sure are a lively and merry couple, and their personalities really show in these photos. They were both constantly laughing and smiling, never keeping the same expressions for more than a moment, leading to lots of great, natural photos. Their wedding is in just three months, and we can’t wait to be there. I can only imagine what a blast that will be!

We strolled around Baker Beach for some fun photo time with Doug, Liz, and their handsome Corgi mix, Tank. Doug and Liz are an outdoorsy couple who love craft beer, so for their engagement session, we photographed them sitting on the beach watching the sunset, drinking their beloved craft beer in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, and running around playing with Tank!
