Last spring, Evan proposed to Ashley at the park where they first met (pics here!), and this summer, the two joined together in marriage at their California Academy of Sciences wedding. MacLane and Amy went for a bit of a walk last week, ending at the Land’s End Labyrinth where he had a little surprise for her… in the form of a beautiful and very unique engagement ring! Amy had a tiiiiny bit a suspicion that something was up, since she noticed he wore nicer shoes than usual (nothing escapes the attentive girlfriend!), but one of her first reactions was regretting that she didn’t wear something cuter for the occasion; on the contrary, I thought she chose just the right outfit for this day 🙂 [ read more … ]

Nick got in touch with me a couple weeks ago as he was planning his proposal. He envisioned having the Bay Bridge as the grand backdrop, and his plan was to bring Kasey to the Embarcadero for a quick walk before having an early dinner together at the Waterbar. When he brought the ring out (and it was a beautiful ring!), she just burst with excitement and we loved getting to capture these memories for them on camera. JJ & Alex are probably the most incredible couple we’ve ever met. It’s just unbelievable how talented they are: both work in software by day and are skilled dancers by night (quite the combination!), Alex started a company that was later acquired, and JJ, the gifted artist, beautifully hand-painted a lot of their wedding items which you’ll see in the photos below.
