Dom & Mae said their vows and tied the knot earlier this month with a tiny elopement. And in the midst of this global pandemic, the logistics were actually quite difficult! There was almost no place in the Bay Area to have a ceremony, so they went down to Santa Cruz. Although coronavirus-related restrictions kept me from documenting the ceremony itself, I’m so glad I got the opportunity to meet up with them afterwards for some outdoor elopement portraits in San Francisco and create these memories of their wedding day. Just over a year ago, we quietly hid in the (figurative) bushes as Jason and Xiaonan took a walk through the quiet and sheltered Muir Woods, until they ended up on one of the wooden bridges where he proposed (and where, of course, she said yes!). San Francisco often gets its best sunset skies in October, and the light certainly didn’t disappoint the evening of Elli & Elliot’s engagement photos. We hiked down to the beach together, took a few fun photos along the way, and romped around in the water a bit at the bottom as we caught the Marshall’s Beach sunset.
