Having flown in all the way from Texas for the long Memorial Day weekend, Andrew planned on proposing to Anna in San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background as a backdrop. As luck would have it, our friend Karl the Fog showed up… but though we weren’t able to see the bridge, the fog gave the beach a romantic, almost dreamy feel, and I especially love how Anna’s vibrantly-colored dress stands out in the photos! Congrats to this beautiful couple 🙂

While on a weekend trip to San Francisco for Heather’s birthday, this pair of high school sweethearts (together for nine years!) made their way out to Baker Beach for a special event. When Christiana and Mike told me that they were newly engaged, they really meant it! They got engaged on Dec 27th and we went out to a few beautiful locations in San Francisco for their engagement photos only three weeks later. They wanted this photo session to be romantic and fun, so we started out with a rowboat at Stow Lake. We definitely wouldn’t forget their two puppies (they are sooooooo cute), and I think the save-the-date photo with the puppies in this blog post is for sure one of my favs. The tide was crazy that day at the beach but C&M, running towards the water and getting totally soaked, didn’t mind at all. Austin and Brittany planned a destination wedding (in Mexico!!), and wanted to have their save-the-date/engagement photos taken near the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove along the windy road near Battery Spencer up to the top with the tunnels where Austin proposed, then headed back to Baker Beach to run around and bury our feet in the sand. Ryan followed Catherine to California from Omaha over a year ago. He just moved back to Omaha the weekend after our photo shoot, and this time, Catherine will follow him there. They decided to have their save-the-date photos taken at Baker Beach to document their wonderful journey together here in the Bay Area. The day was a little overcast which made Catherine’s dress color pop in the photos (really pretty!) AND more importantly, we got the whole beach completely to ourselves and got some great shots!
