Slackers Hill is the tallest hill in the Marin Headlands facing the Golden Gate Bridge from the north, and consequently has an absolutely spectacular view of the entire area, including nearly the entire city of San Francisco, along with the Bay Bridge, Oakland, and parts of Sausalito. Its peak (elevation ~930 feet) has a small, flat plateau featuring amazing sights in every direction.

This is a place I’ve personally always wanted to visit, so even though I was supposed to be taking a break from work this December, when Jordan contacted me to capture his surprise engagement proposal there I knew I had to make it work. [ read more … ]

Mike & Katie traveled from out of state to visit San Francisco this month, and Mike had the perfect proposal lined up. On a weekday morning about a week ago, the two walked along the Embarcadero onto Pier 7. About halfway down the pier, Mike popped the big question, and we were so lucky to have been witnesses to this amazing proposal. I could feel Katie just bursting with joy as she literally jumped up and down shouting “YES!!!” and hugged her fiance. Meanwhile, Mike presented a cool and collected demeanor, but inside, I could tell he was incredibly excited — he didn’t even hear her say yes 🙂 [ read more … ]

Brandon and Kara chose the most amazing day to visit San Francisco. After hitting all the usual spots during the day, they wrapped up in the evening with a short hike up to Battery Spencer, at the edge of the Marin Headlands with its beautiful view overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the City of San Francisco. After planning a getaway to San Francisco and Napa for himself and his girlfriend, Michael contacted us to set up a surprise photo shoot for his proposal at the Palace of Fine Arts, one of the most beautiful and iconic landmarks in the city. When the day came, we checked the forecast and it was supposed to rain all day, so we actually loaded up the car with some lights and rain gear to make some cool photos in the rain.

Luck was on their side, however, as the rain paused just long enough for a romantic stroll around the Palace of Fine Arts and for her to give a joyful, enthusiastic “YES!” [ read more … ]

I absolutely adore Josh & Dylan’s cute love story! They actually met in FIRST GRADE (!!) and finally decided to go on their first date while in college, then visited Battery Spencer afterwards to enjoy the grand view of the Golden Gate Bridge. About a week ago, they revisited the Bridge again — and this time, Josh brought with him a big surprise in a little box! I’m so excited to share these photos of this special moment, beautiful couple, and gorgeous backdrop. Congrats you two!
