Emily and Erik recently moved from San Francisco to Austin, and last week they came back to the city where they first met for a Sutro Baths engagement photo shoot. E&E got engaged last April, so they planned this trip for the anniversary of their engagement, and it worked out oh-so-perfectly. I’m in love with everything about this couple, and am so excited to share a few of their photos!

Heather & Adam initially planned on having their engagement shoot at the beach, so we met up at the top of the trail that leads down to Marshall’s Beach, which is a beautiful, relatively secluded spot and has become one of our most popular spots for engagement photos. They first met just ten weeks ago — yes, ten weeks — and in that brief time, they met each others’ parents, got engaged, started planning for their wedding next year in India, and found us for their San Francisco beach engagement photos. Maggie & Joseph first met each other at UC Berkeley, and later both moved to Hong Kong after finishing school. They flew back to Berkeley for their engagement session, taking me on a trip around campus and showing me a few spots I had never been to, like the Hearst Memorial Mining Building and its stunningly beautiful and grand interior. Julia & Chuck were the most laid-back, relaxed couple. They took no time at all to warm up in front of our cameras (despite the super cold weather!), and knew just how to make each other smile and laugh. I kind of see where their dog’s super chillaxed nature came from! Bayla just walked around and did her own thing, photobombing her parents whenever she thought necessary, and occasionally looking at me for a frame or two. [ read more … ]
