We had such a fun time shooting engagement photos for Jessica & Mike at Baker Beach. These two sure are a lively and merry couple, and their personalities really show in these photos. They were both constantly laughing and smiling, never keeping the same expressions for more than a moment, leading to lots of great, natural photos. Their wedding is in just three months, and we can’t wait to be there. I can only imagine what a blast that will be!

Vineesha loves art and art galleries, and she also has a special bond with New York so Ankit incorporated all these elements into his surprise proposal. He chose the Christopher Hill Gallery in Healdsburg, where the two had their first date. Ankit asked an artist to draw four paintings that were originally photos with a special meaning to them. With the help of the amazing staff at the gallery, scattered hints were left here and there for the couple to find as they walked around. Ankit guided Vineesha into a back room where two final pieces were waiting for them. Vineesha knew something was up as soon as she saw the painting of herself and the look on her face was priceless!! Ankit popped the question while she was still in shock and of course she said yes! Ankit also arranged for their family and friends to join them shortly after the proposal. Champagne, cupcakes, happy tears, and lots of blessing — it made our day 🙂

I can’t wait to share with you Van and Matt’s stunning wedding photos! Their wedding was like a dream come true with a breathtaking chapel ceremony and a reception that was full of surprises. It started with a DIY boozequet that Van made herself — a beautiful, handcrafted silk bridal bouquet with a metal straw for drinking the beer cleverly hidden in the base… genius! Arthur had been planning for this moment for a long time and contacted us more than a month in advance to discuss the location and logistics as getting great photos was very important to him. He and Nicole are both active duty in the Coast Guard on opposite coasts, so it’s been really hard for them to find time together. I’m glad Arthur was able to take some time off and come to this beautiful city of San Francisco to pop the big question, and I’m sure that week must have been very happy and exciting for them! Doug and Liz are an outdoorsy couple who love craft beer, so for their engagement session, we photographed them sitting on the beach watching the sunset, drinking their beloved craft beer in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, and running around playing with Tank!
