Jaspal contacted me a couple weeks back and had everything planned out — on a nice Saturday morning, he and his girlfriend Sabrina would drive out from the California Central Valley all the way to Garrapata State Beach (a bit south of Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey), then he’d propose on rocky cliff overlooking this beautiful beach where they had been a few times before. A beautiful couple who is both deeply in love and also willing to try anything in front of our cameras + a little creativity from us = an oh so romantic session! David and I loved this shoot and every single one of their photos.

We walked around Crissy Field, drove around the City of San Francisco, hiked up some stairs to the Coit Tower, and ran across some busy streets — and it was all worth it in the end. We are so lucky!! We’ve been fortunate enough to photograph a lot of Canadian couples recently 🙂 Love seeing our fellow Canadians here in the States! Ryan and Kelsi came down from Toronto for a California coast road trip from Los Angeles along the Pacific Coast Highway, with their final stop in San Francisco. Ryan had been planning to ask the big question for a while now and I’m sure he had a hard time holding it all in throughout their trip! I can still remember how shaky Kelsi’s voice was as it was a complete surprise for her. I know you guys enjoyed your trip, and congratulations again!!

I’ve been waiting for Tina and Marty’s big day since their engagement shoot this summer. They’re a super lovely couple and their wedding ceremony has been the most emotional one I’ve shot so far! T&M wanted to keep the traditions but also couldn’t wait to spend a few minutes with each other before the ceremony, so they opted for a “first touch” — meeting each other back-to-back under a tree without looking. It was such a perfect choice for them! Romantic and personal, yet keeping all the emotion and surprises for the moment Tina walked down the aisle with her parents. It was their love and trust for each other that made everyone cry at the ceremony and it was a beautiful moment to witness and share with you all.
