Last weekend, Nikhil and Binita visited San Francisco all the way from Alpharetta on the east coast. She thought they were here to watch the Manchester United vs Barcelona game, but Nikhil actually had much more in mind! The two made a trip up to Battery Spencer, where the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of the cliff is simply stunning, and Nikhil got down on one knee and proposed to his very excited girlfriend. I’m sure this weekend will be one they’ll remember forever 🙂 Congrats you two!

Over the Fourth of July weekend, Roy and Claire came all the way from Singapore to visit San Francisco. The pair had first met at the Fairmont Singapore where Roy works as a hotelier, so it was fitting for him to propose to his girlfriend atop the balcony of the Fairmont San Francisco‘s penthouse suite. On the morning before they were to leave the city, Roy used “touring the hotel” as his cover for leading Claire up to the gorgeous penthouse unit and onto the balcony with a stunning view of the San Francisco skyline. We had such a fun time shooting engagement photos for Jessica & Mike at Baker Beach. These two sure are a lively and merry couple, and their personalities really show in these photos. They were both constantly laughing and smiling, never keeping the same expressions for more than a moment, leading to lots of great, natural photos. Their wedding is in just three months, and we can’t wait to be there. I can only imagine what a blast that will be!

Arthur had been planning for this moment for a long time and contacted us more than a month in advance to discuss the location and logistics as getting great photos was very important to him. He and Nicole are both active duty in the Coast Guard on opposite coasts, so it’s been really hard for them to find time together. I’m glad Arthur was able to take some time off and come to this beautiful city of San Francisco to pop the big question, and I’m sure that week must have been very happy and exciting for them! Rudy and Sophie’s story goes back several years to before Rudy was a student at Stanford. When Annie and I met Rudy a couple days before he proposed, he described Sophie as the special one who helped drive his current ambitions and gave him the motivation to pursue graduate studies at Stanford, so it was only appropriate that he proposed to her on campus. On the morning of the big day, he came by to drop off some roses and champagne with us, and we brought those to Stanford Memorial Church along with speakers to play his special request — Endless Love by Lionel Ritchie & Diana Ross.
