San Francisco Maternity Boudoir Milk Bath Photography: Personal Project

Up until now, Annie and I have posted very little of our own personal work online, but this winter we’ve finally had a chance to catch up on things! As we prepare for the arrival of our baby in January, we’ve ramped down our workload to focus on family for a few months, until we get fully back in business in the spring. This gave us the chance to have a little fun and get creative. What could be more appropriate at this time than a maternity shoot with style?

For this photo session, I shot some photos of Annie in a floral milk bath (flowers by David at Absolute Elegance… whole milk from Safeway 😛 ) which I think came out really well, especially given how plain and dull our bathtub usually looks! We also shot a set of photos in Half Moon Bay at a path flanked by some tall, beautiful cypress trees under the golden winter sun. It was freezing though (especially for Annie, wearing that skimpy lace dress), and passers-by looked at us like we were crazy — mostly because we were 😀
