Nergis & Cem | Elegant Montalvo Arts Center Wedding

Elegant, royal, classy: these are the adjectives that come to mind when we think of Nergis & Cem’s Montalvo Arts Center wedding. Nergis had a very specific vision for her wedding and had dreamed of this day for a very long time, and importantly, she knew how to execute and make her vision come to life. Every detail was so meticulously planned, from the exquisite invitation suite to the veil spotters to the lush florals, and it all came together in the most perfect way on this beautiful August day.

Montalvo is where Cem & Nergis had one of their first dates, and from then on, Nergis secretly hoped she’d one day get married at this gem of fa Mediterranean-inspired venue. From the moment she arrived at Montalvo that day through the end of the night, Nergis imparted the aura of a European princess. Wearing a stunning Galia Lahav dress, a 24-foot-long veil, and an ornate tiara, there was no mistaking the star of that day. Her walk down the spiral staircase at Villa Montalvo and later down the long aisle to the Love Temple were quite the sights to behold, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the love-struck Cem adored her with his eyes glued to her the entire day. We imagine that he must have felt like nothing less than the luckiest man on earth that day — and every day since! In every photo where our dashing groom is looking at his bride, he has a particular smile on his face, one reserved just for her. Combined with his sweet, down-to-earth demeanor, we can see why the two are such a perfect match!

After putting together the highlights below to recount Cem & Nergis’s wedding day, we’re almost afraid that our photos will look like a staged photo shoot with a pair of models rather than a real wedding between a real bride & groom with their family and friends in attendance. But the moments that can’t be planned — the tears and laughter from not just Cem & Nergis but also their parents, the eloquently-prepared speeches from their family and friends, and the energy and excitement through the night — are the ones we find most precious and most endearing, and these were in no short supply throughout the day. We’re incredibly honored and grateful to have followed Cem & Nergis’s journey from their engagement to this amazing wedding day, and our cameras were very, very happy as well.
