Darshana & Viraj | Palace of Fine Arts Engagement Photography

I love it when we travel around the city for an engagement shoot and find that our couple has thoughtfully chosen a cute outfit perfectly matched to each location. For their session, Darshana & Viraj met us down at Marshall’s Beach, where we started off with some photos by the water with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Despite a larger-than-usual flock of nudists, these were lots of fun and I really liked how natural and happy the photos came out.

I’m really in love with Darshana’s yellow dress and Viraj’s suspenders in the Palace Fine Arts photos. They not only went perfectly together as a pair, but worked so beautifully with the golden sunset and the architecture in the background! And finally, I’m really glad we allotted time for some night photos at the pier, which you can see at the end — we mostly shoot in natural light, so it’s really liberating to get to do something different every once in a while. The San Francisco city skyline was simply beautiful that night, and they looked lovely in front of it.
