Ashu & Vikanksha’s Surprise Marriage Proposal at Dusk

Ashu & Vikanksha’s proposal at dusk was such a special moment, and it came together perfectly just a few minutes past sunset, when the colors at Marshall’s Beach are richest. The tide was extremely low, which revealed a large, wet beach, creating a mirror-like reflection of the Golden Gate Bridge — it was like the scene was made for them.

Ashu was one of the most prepared grooms-to-be I’ve ever worked with! Two weeks before the proposal, he actually came down to the beach to watch me shoot another proposal, wanting to make sure it was the right spot for him and Vikanksha. That’s when he knew this was the place.

As he knelt down, Vikanksha’s surprise and joy were so genuine, and with the soft light and reflections all around, it was a photographer’s dream to capture. After the big “yes,” a couple of friends came out of hiding to join them, adding to the excitement and celebration.

I’m so grateful I got to be there for this beautifully planned moment. Ashu’s attention to detail, Vikanksha’s emotions and reaction, and the natural beauty of Marshall’s Beach made this an unforgettable proposal for everyone there!
