Caitlin & Michael’s Mavericks House Waterfront Wedding

Caitlin and Michael’s wedding at Mavericks House in Half Moon Bay was a relaxed, joyful celebration. And with so many Waterloo alumni there (including the couple), Annie felt right back at home! Their ceremony took place on the lawn, with the ocean as their backdrop, creating a serene and intimate setting for their vows. On this mostly overcast day, the sun peeked out just enough to give us some beautiful, soft lighting for their photos.

We loved all the DIY elements in their wedding, including the florals and even Caitlin’s beautiful braids (which you can see one of the bridesmaids helping with). One of the most memorable highlights of the day had to be the cake-cutting moment. Caitlin and Michael, in their enthusiasm, cut into the cake with such gusto that the knife actually broke! It was a hilarious, spontaneous moment, which you’ll see in the photos below, that perfectly reflected their fun, low-key personalities.

Their wedding was full of genuine smiles, laughter, and a relaxed vibe that matched their easygoing nature. From the scenic ceremony by the water to the happy chaos of the reception, every moment felt uniquely them. It was a honor to capture their love story surrounded by so many of their loved ones.
