Richard & Jamie’s SF City Hall Fourth Floor Balcony Wedding

Richard and Jamie’s wedding at San Francisco City Hall was such a beautiful day, one that I had been looking forward to since the beginning of the year. From the moment they saw each other during their first look in the courtyard, Jamie was overcome with emotion. She was so adorable, her eyes welling up with happy tears that didn’t stop flowing all day — from the first look, through the ceremony, and even into the group photos!

Their ceremony took place on SF City Hall’s fourth-floor balcony, and the light streaming through those massive windows created a magical glow as they exchanged vows with 50 of their closest friends and family surrounding them. Jamie’s emotional reactions made it all feel so genuine and touching, and Richard was right there with her, looking at her with so much love.

After they said “I do,” we took some family photos and explored City Hall together for portraits. The grand staircase, those towering arches, and even the outside of the iconic building made for the perfect backdrops. Richard and Jamie were so wrapped up in the moment (and in each other) though that I think their photos would carry just as much feeling if we had shot these in a parking lot!
