Emily & Jeff’s Montalvo Arts Center Wedding

Emily and Jeff’s wedding at the Montalvo Arts Center was an absolute joy to be a part of. Their love story began back at Duke (also David’s alma mater!) where they first met on orientation day but now joke about not really remembering each other at the time. After some long-distance dating, they moved in together on the east coast before eventually making their way back to California, where Emily grew up. They love to travel, and two years ago during a particularly memorable hike in Hawaii, Jeff proposed, which brings us to this next exciting stage of their story!

Their wedding day kicked off with a first look up in the hiking trails at Montalvo, a spot that’s special to Emily since she loved to go hiking nearby in her childhood. It was such a perfect, intimate moment — just the two of them, admiring each other at the beginning of their wedding day, surrounded by nature.

The ceremony itself was simply beautiful, with sunlight streaming in and creating a warm, welcoming vibe. Emily and Jeff exchanged their vows in front of family and friends, with everyone soaking in the love and happiness of the day. The greenery and historic charm of the Montalvo Arts Center made for some truly picture-perfect moments.

The whole day felt like a wonderful mix of nature, love, and personal touches that really showcased their journey together. Throughout the reception, we really enjoyed the heartfelt speeches, lively dance floor, and of course, Emily and her dad’s singing performance.
