Pritish & Samruddhi’s Golden Gate Park Rowboat Proposal

On a sunny Saturday morning, Pritish and Samruddhi enjoyed a walk around Stow Lake, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of this peaceful refuge of nature in our bustling city. Once the boathouse opened, they were in line for one of the first boats, and then it was time for Samruddhi to sit back while Pritish got his workout in for the day. For the next ten minutes while he rowed them around the lake, a group of their friends quietly gathered near the proposal spot, ready to cheer and congratulate the couple after they heard the “yes!”

As Pritish neared the stone arch bridge that would serve as the backdrop, he started to give his proposal speech, timing it so that he could end with the boat right where we had planned, where it would be best for photos. At that moment, he motioned for Samruddhi to stand with him, then he got down on one knee and asked the question. Friends on shore erupted in excitement and applause, and the rest is history!
