Kris & Suzanna’s Mt Tam East Peak Sunrise Proposal

Kris wanted an epic way to propose to his girlfriend Suzanna and had the perfect way to make it work. Being avid hikers, they both love adventure and beautiful scenery, so what better way to propose than one one such trip? He chose the Mt Tam East Peak, a beautiful mountaintop overlooking the surrounding Bay Area, with an amazing view of the sun rising over Oakland.

Although the East Peak is not far from the closest parking lot, driving most of the way would have been too easy for them — they hiked it on foot from the bottom, which is over an hour each way! Once at the top, they waited together for the sunrise, which was an incredible display of light that morning, before Kris revealed the real reason why they made the journey that morning by getting out the ring and popping the question.

Suzanna was overjoyed, and one of my favorite bits about this proposal was the way she jumped up and down right after saying yes! It was all wonderful to witness, and I’m so happy for the opportunity to capture it for them. Congrats to Kris & Suzanna!
