D&A’s SF Botanical Gardens & Conservatory of Flowers Wedding
D&A’s wedding was a uniquely special one for us. Our first encounter with this wonderful couple was at their intimate COVID-era wedding last year. From the start, it was clear that they were a down-to-earth, genuinely sweet couple who weren’t looking to be the center of attention, but just wanted to cherish every moment spent with family and friends. This year, they had the chance to celebrate their love with an even larger gathering, where they beautifully intertwined their Indian and Asian heritage into a perfect wedding day at the SF Botanical Garden and Conservatory of Flowers at Golden Gate Park.
We started the day off with some portraits for D&A and their families amidst the lush surroundings of the Garden. Despite the overcast sky, the vibrant traditional attire worn by D&A and their families added a striking contrast to the natural beauty of the garden. As guests started to arrive, the Hindu ceremony commenced, and it was a true delight to witness the traditional customs, from the sacred offerings and circling around the ceremonial fire to the exchange of floral garlands. Our cameras had a field day capturing these precious moments.
After the ceremony, the festivities moved to the Conservatory for the wedding reception. While guests enjoyed the cocktail hour outdoors, D&A celebrated the Asian side of their heritage with a small tea ceremony. And of course, we quickly snuck in some more wedding portraits for the cute couple during this time as well 🙂 And over at the reception, the couple again celebrated both Indian and Asian cultures. A buffet line featured delectable dishes from both cuisines, allowing their guests to savor the best of both worlds while enjoying heartfelt speeches and the couple’s special dances. As a surprise, their guests even put on a surprise dance performance!
We are incredibly grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary day, celebrating the union of two beautiful souls and families!
