Michael & Lauren’s Wedding at Viansa Sonoma

Michael & Lauren’s story began back in 2018. They first met online, and after a very memorable first date that stretched for four hours (!), it became clear that something special was brewing. Since then, we’ve had the honor of documenting several of their big milestones: first, their proposal in the spring of 2022 up in the Marin Headlands, then their fall engagement photos at Mt Tam, and finally, their beautiful wedding at Viansa Sonoma this summer.

Their wedding day began with separate preparations, building up to their first look after arriving at Viansa. It was a touching moment when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, with raw and genuine emotions that were truly beautiful to witness. The wedding ceremony held its own charms, with Michael and the groomsmen taking everyone by surprise with a dance performance to kick off the event, and it set the lighthearted mood for the gathering. We loved how personal the ceremony felt, with Lauren’s brother-in-law as the officiant doing an amazing job telling the couple’s story and joining them together in marriage.

Later in the evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the golden hour provided a perfect backdrop for capturing some truly fantastic photos. The soft, warm light shining onto Michael and Lauren and onto the hills and vineyards below couldn’t possibly have been any more fantastic, and it gave us the gift of some very memorable photos for them!

Michael and Lauren’s wedding was an incredible event, one that we’re so happy to have been a part of. We’re excited to share some of the highlights to tell the story of their day!
