Jeffrey & Julie’s The GlassHouse SJ Wedding Ceremony & Reception
It’s strange how some long wedding days can go by so quickly, and Jeffrey & Julie’s wedding was definitely one of those. We met up with them in the morning at Hayes Mansion, where the emotional tone for the rest of the day was quickly set with Julie’s reveal with her bridesmaids & bridesmen, followed by her very heartfelt speech thanking each of them for being a part of her journey over the years. J&J’s first look was a very touching one, and after that we lost count of how many times Jeffrey cried and laughed at the same time throughout the day. The mansion was a perfect place for all of this plus lots of portraits for everyone — both the beautiful interior and clean exterior are just so ideal for photos!
Though this first part of their wedding day was quiet and relaxed, it was a great lead-in to the ceremony & reception at The GlassHouse SJ, where the energy really picked up, especially during the reception which included a spectacularly-performed surprise lion dance as well as some pretty incredible dancing from the wedding party members and guests. Everyone had a blast — including their dog Ellie, who played the role of ringbearer as well as a Very Good Girl. What really stood out to us, and the most memorable aspect of the whole day, was the powerful emotion and excitement everyone displayed during the wedding day. In all of these photos, there is hardly anyone with a resting face — everyone is dancing, laughing, crying, clapping, cheering, or some combination of the above 😀
And we had quite an enjoyable day ourselves too, which is one reason the day went by so quickly for us. We were super happy to have gotten so much photo time, both at Hayes Mansion and at The GlassHouse, and if our cameras had feelings (don’t tell them I said that), they would definitely have been jumping with joy all day long.
This was our first time photographing a wedding at The GlassHouse, and it’s now easily one of our favorite indoor wedding venues. It features a clean, modern look, and it’s really spacious inside as well. And the front entrance is super cool and a great place for night photos and the sparkler exit, which everyone had fun with!
Congrats to Jeffrey and Julie, and scroll down to see some of the highlights from their Hayes Mansion & The GlassHouse SJ wedding!
