Lana & Alan’s Silver Creek Valley Country Club Wedding
After three rounds of planning and re-planning, Lana & Alan’s wedding finally arrived, and it was all the love, joy, and laughter that we were hoping for… and then some. We started off the day at Lana’s family home for a few quick getting ready photos before heading to San Jose for their absolutely beautiful Silver Creek Valley Country Club wedding.
The outdoor wedding ceremony was a lot of fun and definitely one of the most enjoyable ones we’ve photographed. And I don’t just mean the obvious eye candy like the picture-perfect setting, decor, and (of course) bride and groom. During the processional, two of Alan’s cousins walked in as very energetic “flower men,” tossing petals up high as they pranced down the aisle and setting a lighthearted mood for the ceremony, and two other cousins wore earpieces and dark sunglasses as the “ring security.” The officiant was Lana’s brother, who I’m pretty sure is (or should be) a professional wedding officiant because he gets a perfect 10/10 from us on both content and delivery for their short, sweet, and very personal ceremony.
One of the themes that came up over and over during the reception speeches was the hospitality and generosity of the families. Hopefully we don’t show up in any of the wedding video because you’ll see us subconsciously nodding a lot during these toasts… we saw it in both Alan and Lana and also their families, like during their tea ceremony the previous day when the parents constantly asked if I wanted some spring rolls, buns, and all kinds of other yummy-looking treats and made sure I was well-fed and hydrated. I felt so honored to get to know the families and have the chance to chat with such loving and close parents and grandparents 🙂
We’re truly so happy for Lana and Alan and both of their wonderful families. Take a look at some of the highlights from their wedding day below!
