Charles & Kristen’s Oakland Balcony Sunset Proposal

Over the course of several weeks, Charles had put together a very well-thought-out sunset balcony proposal plan, involving parents and family members from both sides, as well as a big group of friends… pretty much everyone knew about it except Kristen 😀 On a beautiful Friday evening after dinner, he and Kristen arrived at her mom’s house and walked to the back to watch the beautiful glowing sunset. Unbeknownst to her, a group of family members was quietly hiding in the neighbor’s yard, just on the other side of the fence.

On the “go” mark, everyone, including yours truly, quickly shuffled over to witness and capture Charles getting down on one knee and asking Kristen to marry him. The sunset was particularly spectacular that day — and perhaps not just by luck, as the late father of our bride-to-be made sure to be there in spirit, watching right alongside the rest of the family in the backyard to witness this special moment.
