Lydia & Jessenia’s Summer Trentadue Winery Wedding

Lydia & Jessenia’s wedding will always be a super special one for us, in no small part due to how much we’ve enjoyed being along for the journey: from Lydia’s surprise proposal to Jessenia at a beautiful basketball court in San Francisco, to their engagement session when we captured some lovely moments under the warm California sun, and now, at their beautiful Trentadue Winery wedding day in Geyserville!

At their first look, the two brides surprised each other with the unique look they each went for, very different yet a perfect complement for the other! They had each picked a dress with spaghetti straps, but of otherwise totally divergent styles. (We were quite amused when we saw L&J’s Instagram story of them each wearing the other’s dress a few days later. Both looked spectacular, of course. Sadly, I don’t think David would look as good in my wedding dress.) Even their bouquets were a little different: of the same palette and style, but different enough to give a bit of individual flair.

For us, one of the defining themes of their wedding was the love and enthusiasm everyone had for the brides. The wedding party was so cheerful and excited for them, and the family was all super loving. I especially remember Lydia’s dad giving a speech that was so very sweet, just like one might expect from a dad to two of his daughters, and the rest of the toasts were likewise heartfelt and beautifully delivered.

The tail end of the wedding was marked by dancing, music, and besitos. The dance floor was packed, and our brides didn’t want to miss a single moment of the action — they had even changed into matching shoes just for dancing!
