Ray & Niekia’s Sunset Proposal Atop Contra Costa Rock Park

So many things to absolutely adore about this proposal! Ray and Niekia have a special spot in the neighborhood, a big rock with a great view called Contra Costa Rock Park, and it’s here that Ray put together his plans. Through a lot of hard work by Angela of Perfectly Bubbly Events, the rock top was adorned with a meticulously-arranged picnic setup complete with photos, donuts, champagne, a charcuterie board, and more. And for an added touch, Angela also set down some candles to light the stairs leading up to the top of the rock.

Aside from the proposal itself, a couple of other things were really memorable for me. It’s probably the first thing anyone will notice when looking at the photos, but Niekia’s colorful dress couldn’t possibly have been more perfect for this vibrant sunset setting and I (and my cameras) absolutely loved it. And their super cute dog was the most photo-cooperative pup I’ve ever seen. I mean, just look at the photos — he’s looking at the camera in every single photo, and I wasn’t even trying to get his attention in most of them!
