Michael & Cindy’s Surprise Proposal in the Berkeley Hills

Of all the places in the Bay Area we’ve been to (and we’ve been to a lot!), this spot in the Berkeley Hills is definitely among the most private, scenic, and special. But that’s not our favorite part of Michael’s proposal to Cindy. What we loved most is the level of personal detail — this was the spot where he had told her he loved her, and they even brought along their dog Cody for the big moment.

I have to say a few words about Cody because he was just so dang cute. First, before the proposal, he was absolutely perfect and sat right next to his parents’ picnic blanket, enjoying the view of the city below. But once he noticed us snapping photos, he started rwarwarwar’ing at us, because apparently random strangers hiding behind some bushes taking photos of his parents is not a thing he approves of. You can see this in some of the photos during the proposal… super adorable.

Although this little clearing up in the hills looks a bit different now than the last time Michael and Cindy were there together, it’s still their special spot, and I’m sure it’ll be even more special now. Congrats to this happy family 🙂
