Emily & Josh’s San Francisco City Hall Ceremony and Sunset Portraits

I got to first meet Emily and Josh just two days before their San Francisco City Hall ceremony, at Emily’s best friend’s wedding where she was a bridesmaid. (And of course they returned the favor — you can see Jess & Jason in some of these ceremony photos!) They’re a cute couple with lots of love for each other and for those around them, and you can see that the atmosphere during their ceremony was appropriately lighthearted and fun.

After officially tying the knot, we took a few more photos at City Hall, and met up again for sunset at Sutro Baths, one of my favorite spots in the city. I really love combining City Hall with outdoor portraits, especially during sunset. The grand, stately interior of City Hall with its soft, even lighting makes such a good combination with the open, unpredictable, and dynamic backdrops of nature. This was just about my millionth time at Sutro Baths, but we still managed to find some unique spots and shots together 🙂
