Doreen & Jimmy | UC Berkeley Campus & Ocean Beach Engagement Photos

The Berkeley mining building and Ocean Beach made for an interesting combination of locations for Doreen & Jimmy’s engagement session: one being calm and orderly, and the other open and chaotic. Together, I think these spots gave this set of engagement photos a perfect amount of variety 🙂

Doreen & Jimmy both work at UC Berkeley, so we started off by visiting the Hearst Memorial Mining Building on campus and taking photos there. I’ve always loved the lines and symmetry inside Hearst, and it was great to explore the building with the two of them.

We then made our way over to Ocean Beach in San Francisco to catch the golden hour. I’d been wanting to take some Ocean Beach engagement photos for a looooong time, and it was wonderful to finally have the opportunity! It was a lot colder and windier than we were expecting, but it sure doesn’t look that way in the photos — these two did a great job keeping each other warm.
