Jordan & Dave’s Oakland Waterfront & Beach Engagement Photos

Jordan & Dave live in Oakland and wanted to memorialize their home city in their engagement photos, so we picked a few locations around town for their shoot. We started with a few casual shots near downtonw Oakland at Lake Chatlet, just a few minutes from their home. It’s a spot where they often go for Sunday brunch, and has a beautiful view of Lake Merritt. For sunset, we originally planned on heading over to Baker Beach, but the weather started looking iffy so we decided last-minute to make a detour to Crown Memorial State Beach instead. It actually worked out really well, and they were blessed with beautiful sunset colors, plus I think it was a little more meaningful as we actually had a view of their neighborhood from across the water. J&D’s adorable pup even made an appearance on the beach! This was a really enjoyable, relaxed shoot, and I think it shows in the photos 🙂 I’m sure their wedding next year will be incredible!
