Vanessa & Gerald’s Sigmund Stern Recreation Grove Engagement Photos

Vanessa and Gerald first met just over a year ago, and they must have known from that moment on that they were meant for each other. When we met up to talk about their wedding earlier this year, they were as sweet as lovers could be, and so excited to be planning their wedding. So it was no surprise that V&G’s engagement session at Sigmund Stern Grove was filled with love and romance, exactly what I enjoy capturing most.

​​It’s easy to think that my job as a photographer is to capture two individuals in a pretty setting, but that only scratches at the surface. (Okay, having beautiful redwood trees here didn’t hurt!) But it’s really the intangibles, the love and connection that are hard to connect to concrete pixels but which are weaved into the fabric and feeling of the image, that make each engagement photo so special and unique. I loved working with Vanessa & Gerald to capture exactly that in their Stern Grove engagement photos, and I’m very much looking forward to their wedding next year!
