James & Ali’s Surprise Proposal Under the Point Reyes Cypress Tree Tunnel
More than a year ago, James visited the Cypress Tree Tunnel in Point Reyes while on a trip to San Francisco. After snapping a few photos there, he knew that was going to be the perfect place to propose. He got in touch with me, and after talking about timing and how his proposal would unfold, he set a date: March 16.
As the day approached, the weather looked more and more like rain. In fact, even as we were driving up there, the forecast called for almost certain rain… but a funny thing happened — as we left San Francisco and approached Point Reyes, the skies opened up. By the time we reached the Cypress Tree Tunnel, the skies were almost clear! It was an absolutely beautiful day, and though James had brought along an umbrella and was prepared to propose even in pouring rain, luckily he didn’t have to.
This tunnel is one of our absolute favorite spots in the entire Bay Area, and we’re really glad to have had the opportunity to photograph this moment for the two of them at this perfect location. And if this wasn’t one of Ali’s favorite places before, well, I’m sure it is now 🙂
