Jeff & Leslie | An Epic Proposal on Top of Montara Mountain

Though we live only 15 minutes from the base of Montara Mountain, last weekend was our very first time hiking all the way up. At 1800 feet, the peak of the mountain offers a stunning view of not only Montara and the beautiful mountains and rolling hills that surround the area, but you can also see San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, and the Pacific coastline.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Jeff & Leslie headed up Montara Mountain, taking a different route from the familiar trails they had gone up many times in the past. Just before reaching the summit, Jeff spotted us waiting in a clearing with a sweeping, unobstructed view, and he led Leslie over.

As Jeff knelt down and gave the speech he had prepared for his soon-to-be fiancée, we could see Leslie starting to burst with joy and emotion. He then pulled the ring out of his bag and presented it to her. I could tell she had been holding back and waiting to exclaim “YES!!” — during this entire event, literally the only words I heard were a bunch of yeses at the end!

This was one of the most adventurous proposals we’ve witnessed, and despite the tiring hike up and our soreness the next few days, I couldn’t be more excited to share these moments we captured for J&L, and the setting where they took place. Congrats to this lucky couple!
