James & Emily | Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail Sunset Proposal

In planning for his proposal to his now-fiancee Emily, James wanted the setting to be memorable, scenic, and beautiful. The Pacific coast along northern California is all of those things, and one of the best (and commonly overlooked) stretches is in Half Moon Bay. The sunset color and light is unmatched, and James took full advantage of it — I think he and Emily were possibly our most on-time couple ever for a proposal, arriving at precisely the right time for that soft, golden light. I loved that he had it all planned out and had told everyone in advance, so Emily’s friends and family were just waiting for the good news! Such a wonderful, thoughtful proposal.
