Ban & Jamaica | San Francisco Baker Beach Surprise Engagement
The month of August aka Fogust here in San Francisco is always tough for proposals, since the weather is so unpredictable and often foggy. For Ban’s proposal, we watched the weather religiously in the days leading up to his proposal, and when it looked good, it was go time!
We headed over to Baker Beach, which was super empty — probably because everyone else thought the weather was going to be bad! As the couple walked up the beach, my assistant and I quietly followed from a distance, and I could see the distinctive Tiffany blue box come out of a pocket and into Ban’s right hand, hidden behind him.
After he found a good spot with a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Ban took a cute “follow me” selfie with Jamaica leading the way to the bridge ahead of them, and then while still behind her, he got down on one knee. When Jamaica turned around, she saw the beautiful Tiffany ring held out and Ban smiling up at her, and she was overwhelmed. There was even a small crowd who stopped to clap and cheer for the newly-engaged couple!
I loved seeing the joy and emotion in the two of them, and I’m so glad I could be there to capture it. Congrats to Ban & Jamaica!
