Stefanie & Joe | Stanford Memorial Church & Dyker Beach Golf Course Wedding

Joe & Stefanie held their wedding ceremony at the grand Stanford Memorial Church, and they hosted their reception at Dyker Beach Golf Course on the other side of the continent a week later in order to include all of their friends & family. Flying to New York marked my first destination wedding trip of 2016 and I’m super excited to be back to share these photos!

Stefanie wore her grandmother’s wedding dress on both days, which was not only stunning and memorable, but also fit her amazingly, like a glove. I also loved Stefanie’s perspective on her wedding: when someone asked her before the ceremony whether she was nervous, her response wasn’t yes or no — it was an excited, yet collected “if I were nervous, why would I be doing this?”

As a Stanford alum, Stefanie had the privilege of holding her wedding ceremony with Joe at the Memorial Church, with its absolutely stunning interior with towering arches, colorful murals, and intricate architectural designs. Later on, at their reception, we shot a few quick portraits outdoors on the golf club, and got a lot of great dancing photos. I, and many of the family and guests, were staying at the same hotel, and on our way out I snapped a photo of everyone on the bus waving — one of my most memorable moments of the night!
