Nick & Maria | Palo Alto Arastradero Preserve Surprise Proposal

Our lovely couple, Nick & Maria, met in graduate school, and an important moment in their relationship was a trip they took to Africa. For the proposal, Nick wanted a spot that would remind them of a safari, so we suggested the Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, which with its golden grassy hills is a nice escape from the urban Bay Area.

On the day of the proposal, Nick & Maria went on a family hike to Arastradero. Maria’s sister drew over a dozen signs to celebrate and hid them in a bag. The family had even hidden a bundle of balloons on the other side of the hill, well out of sight, ready to bring out as soon as she had said yes!
